University of Missouri – Memorial Stadium

Tradition Meets Transformation at Mizzou’s Memorial Stadium

Completed: September 2026
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Architect: DLR Group
Contractor: Whiting-Turner

As Memorial Stadium enters its centennial year, the University of Missouri is transforming the historic home of Mizzou Football with a $250 million renovation designed to preserve tradition while creating a new generation of game-day experiences. The reimagined north end zone adds 2,280 premium seats, including loge boxes, mezzanine club seating and 71 suites, while incorporating the historic Rock “M” into a dramatically expanded collection of hospitality spaces.

Sightline Commercial Solutions engineered, coordinated, fabricated and installed 7,425+ linear feet of architectural railing and specialty systems throughout the renovated stadium. The extensive scope includes Track Rail™ glass guardrail, exterior glass windscreen, aisle and courtesy railing, cable guardrail, integrated drink rails, suite dividers, custom perforated panels and additional railing configurations serving premium seating, suites, loges, ramps, stairs and accessible seating areas. Stainless steel, anodized silver and powder coated Ultra Matte Black II finishes were strategically incorporated throughout the project to complement the varied architectural environments.

Premium spaces presented some of the project’s most complex coordination challenges. Sightline engineered railing around electrical infrastructure serving custom heated seats and suite refrigerators, while drink rails and suite dividers required precise integration with quartz countertops and surrounding finishes. At the front of the seating bowl, stainless steel Track Rail™ glass guardrail with top cap maintains open views toward Faurot Field, while Ultra Matte Black II Track Rail™, wind screens and side railing create a coordinated aesthetic throughout Level 3.

Sightline’s scope extended beyond traditional railing with custom perforated panels and entrance canopies spanning more than 20 feet. Bringing these varied systems together required close coordination across engineering, fabrication and installation to address changing geometries, materials and adjacent trades throughout the renovation. The finished work supports safety, attendee movement and premium hospitality while complementing a transformed Memorial Stadium built for the next century of Mizzou football.
