As the first stadium in the world to feature a fully retractable motorized roof, Rogers Centre has long stood as a landmark of Toronto’s skyline and home to the Toronto Blue Jays. Over the past few years, Sightline Commercial Solutions has helped transform the venue with modern railing systems and premium fan amenities designed to elevate the gameday experience while supporting the stadium’s continued evolution.
Sightline fabricated and supplied a wide range of custom metal railing solutions throughout the venue, including aisle rail, Track Rail™, decorative wall and floor-mounted handrails, custom metal panel drink rails, platforms, gates and steel dugout rails. The installation also incorporated OptiView™ anti-reflective glass and custom bent floor-mounted handrails, creating clean sightlines and a refined aesthetic that complements the stadium’s modern upgrades while enhancing long-term durability and fan safety.
With lead times compressed to nearly half of what is typical for projects of this scale, the Sightline team relied heavily on 3D scanning technology and tube laser fabrication to maintain both precision and speed throughout the design, manufacturing and installation phases. The welded and bent floor-mounted handrails added further complexity, requiring close coordination between engineering, production and installation teams to keep the project moving efficiently.
Long-standing relationships with general contractor PCL Canada and architecture firm Populous helped Sightline coordinate execution and keep the upgrades on schedule. The result is a modernized stadium environment that blends premium architectural detailing with enhanced functionality, creating a more refined fan experience while helping Rogers Centre continue to evolve as one of North America’s premier sports and entertainment destinations.
